Feel the Motion is a sustainable corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme organised by Sino Group and hosted by eMotionLAB to promote motion design as a future skill for young art and design talents in Hong Kong. The “Motion Design Master Talks” and “Accelerator Workshops” combine experience industry sharing and practical hands-on training with a commissioned project as award, offering the platform and opportunities for creative young talents to pursue continued education and drive genuine career transformation.
There will be 30 quotas and young people who are keen to enter the motion design industry are welcome to apply to join “Accelerator Workshops”. The participants will be fully subsidised to complete the 12 workshops, and will each receive an additional subsidy of HK$5,000. They may also be selected to take part in a commissioned project individually or as a group. Each selected work will be offered HK$20,000 (6 quotas in total).

The power and value of motion design is, however, undermined in Hong Kong, thus there are bountiful opportunities for local talents to tap into this emerging professional field.
Motion designers are multifaceted people who are left- and right-brain thinkers equipped with interdisciplinary design skills, from graphic design to cinematography, animation and time-based storytelling, with even a good understanding of physics and programming.
